A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus on presenting tangible achievements of his administration rather than relying on political rhetoric as the 2027 presidential election approaches.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Momodu stressed that Nigerians will judge the President based on his performance in office, not propaganda. He noted that Tinubu’s path to re-election would be easier if he could convincingly present his record of accomplishments.
“The 2027 election will not be difficult for Tinubu if he can show the records of his performance. Nobody hates him personally. It is about performance. Present your scorecards,” Momodu said.
He urged members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to highlight the administration’s achievements instead of attacking political opponents. Momodu criticised the APC for what he described as a persistent tendency to blame previous administrations for Nigeria’s economic and governance challenges.
