Tinubu Urges North-East Governors to Intensify Fight Against Terrorism, Banditry

President Bola Tinubu has called on governors of the six North-East states to ramp up efforts in combating terrorism and banditry, stressing the need for stronger collaboration to overcome the region’s security challenges.  

  

 The President made the remarks on Thursday while receiving a delegation of political leaders and government officials from Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe states at the Presidential Villa. 

“Only when we stick together, think together, and face the challenges the best way possible as a united country do we prevail,” Tinubu said.   

He also highlighted positive economic developments, describing the current period as Nigeria’s “golden age” due to growing stability. “If you can stabilise the economy, Nigerians are not asking for too much simple stability and social welfare,” he added.

Tinubu assured citizens of his administration’s resolve, stating, “We are never going to look back. Nigeria will survive.”
