Tinubu’s reforms yielding results, will shape 2027 election — Minister

The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has said President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms are delivering measurable results, expressing confidence that the administration’s performance will remain a major factor in the 2027 presidential election.

Alausa, who spoke in a statement signed and released by his Special Adviser on Media, Ikharo Attah, on Monday, said the administration had implemented difficult but necessary reforms that were beginning to strengthen Nigeria’s economy, improve macroeconomic indicators and lay the foundation for sustainable growth.

He argued that the country’s economic progress was being validated by both domestic and international institutions rather than political narratives.

“Nigeria’s economic progress is no longer a matter of political rhetoric but one supported by credible data and independent assessments,” the minister said.

He added that reports by the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, Bloomberg and the National Bureau of Statistics indicated that the country’s economic reforms were producing
