Top 10 EPL’s most expensive signings since 2016

The Premier League has continued to dominate the global transfer market since the summer of 2016, with clubs investing record-breaking sums to secure some of football’s biggest stars.

The period has been marked by several landmark deals, including multiple transfers worth more than £100 million, as England’s top flight clubs have increased their spending power through lucrative broadcast revenues and commercial growth.

Chelsea have been among the biggest spenders during this period, completing some of the league’s most expensive deals.

The Blues signed midfielder Moisés Caicedo from Brighton for a reported £115 million, brought in Enzo Fernández from Benfica for around £106.8 million, and also completed the signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for a reported £117 million.

Liverpool have also featured prominently among the record-breaking spenders, with the club signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for a reported £125 million, making him one of the most expensive players
