Trabzonspor reject €30m bid for Nwaiwu

Trabzonspor have rejected an offer of around €30m from Crystal Palace for Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, according to Haber61, as the Turkish Cup winners move to keep hold of the 23-year-old amid interest from several European clubs.

The Black Sea club have remained firm on their valuation of €35m for Nwaiwu, who only joined from Wolfsberger AC in January but has already established himself as a mainstay in the heart of Trabzonspor’s defence.

He ended his first half-season in Turkey with a trophy after Trabzonspor beat Konyaspor 2-1 in the Turkish Cup final, and he is under contract with the club until June 30, 2030.

Nwaiwu’s impressive displays, including three headed goals in 16 league appearances during the second half of last season, have placed him on the radar of several clubs.
