Super Falcons striker Joy Omewa has sealed a move to Swedish club BK Häcken, DAILY POST reports
Omewa put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Swedish champions.
The 23-year-old joins BK Häcken on a free transfer after severing ties with English Women’s Super League, WSL, 2 club Nottingham Forest.
The forward’s arrival increased the number of Nigerians at the club to two with midfielder Halimat Ayinde already a key member of the squad.
Omewa enjoyed a prolific spell during her time with Danish club Fortuna Hjørring, where she scored 22 league goals in 24 matches during the 2024/25 season.
Fortuna Hjørring claimed the domestic double during that campaign.
She has been included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
