The management of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) has provided free medical services to 179 staff members of Independent Television and Radio (ITV) as part of an ongoing partnership between the two institutions.
The staff benefitted from free diagnostics, ranging from blood pressure, blood sugar, hepatitis B screenings, clinical consultations, and personalized wellness counseling.
Speaking at the event, Idia Ize-Iyamu, the Chief Medical Director of the teaching hospital said the partnership for
healthcare services was part of the institution’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
Ize-Iyamu, represented by Philip Osho, the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (DCMAC) Clinicals of UBTH reaffirmed the hospital’s
dedication to improving health outcomes through strategic partnerships and community-focused interventions.
She added that the medical outreach underscores the hospital’s belief that quality healthcare should extend beyond the hospital walls to encourage early disease detection.
