UEFA has reaffirmed that its 55 member associations remain prepared to boycott FIFA competitions, insisting that the conditions it set for restoring relations with world football’s governing body have not yet been met.
The warning comes after FIFA’s senior leadership meeting in Rabat, Morocco, where the governing body admitted that “mistakes were made” over its abandoned plan to sell minority stakes in the commercial rights of its competitions and reiterated its support for FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

UEFA says FIFA has fallen short
In a statement on Thursday, European football’s governing body said FIFA’s decision to abandon the controversial commercialisation proposal was only one of several conditions required to avert a boycott.
“UEFA’s associations were very clear about the conditions attached to the non-participation in FIFA competitions,” UEFA said. “These conditions have not been met.”
