Use your social media influence to foster peace, safer society – New CP tells Cross River youths

The new Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, has called on Nigerian youths who are social media influencers to use their reach to promote peace and a safer society.

He made the call in a statement signed by the Command’s PRO, ASP Eitokpah Sunday Akata, where he called on the youths to join him for a walk around major streets in Calabar as a way of strengthening police-youth collaboration and community policing.

He explained that the walk would commence from the Police Headquarters, Diamond Hill, Calabar, in the morning, adding that the exercise is aimed at fostering unity and healthy interaction between them.

The commissioner said, “We call on the youths of Cross River State to channel their energy, creativity, and digital influence towards lawful and constructive endeavours that promote peace, development, and a safer society.”

Ordue reaffirmed his commitment to building a productive relationship
