Social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has set conditions for honouring a police invitation over allegations he levelled against the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Moshood Jimoh.
In a statement issued through his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, the activist demanded that the investigative process be conducted under strict transparency measures to safeguard public confidence.
The development follows an August 4 statement by the Nigeria Police Force confirming that VeryDarkMan had been invited by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, to substantiate the claims he made against the senior officer.
VDM’s legal team noted that their client welcomed the police decision to investigate the allegations and reiterated that he has never opposed any lawful probe.
