Social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has announced readiness to honour the invitation extended to him by the Nigeria Police Force over allegations he made against the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Moshood Jimoh.
However, he demanded that the investigative process be conducted under strict transparency measures.
The activist’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, and his legal team disclosed this in a statement issued on August 5, 2026, saying VDM remained willing to cooperate fully with the police investigation while insisting on safeguards to ensure public confidence in the process.
The statement, signed by Zainab Otega, on behalf of the legal team, followed the Nigeria Police Force’s August 4 statement confirming that VDM had been invited by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, to substantiate allegations he made against the senior police officer.
