
Demola Olarenwaju, the Senior Political Assistant to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has suggested why President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, should be sacked.
Recall that an acclaimed Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, Adeniyi Matthew, recently accused Gbajabiamila of involvement in an alleged appointment-for-cash scandal.
Matthew alleged that Gbajabiamila demanded N27.4bn from the take-off grant of a purported agency and collected N400m, through proxies, to secure his appointment as director-general of the agency.
But the presidency, in an official statement on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, denied the claim, stating that the accuser and the purported agency is unknown to the government.
However, Olarenwaju said if Mathew scammed himself into Nigeria’s budget, Gbajabiamila must be sacked for negligence.
