Brazil legend, Rivaldo, has hailed Lionel Messi and his Argentina teammates following their victory over Egypt in the Round of Sixteen of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He expressed admiration for the 39-year-old player, who both scored and provided an assist in a thrilling comeback, speaking highly of his performance.

In a post on Instagram, Rivaldo said that Argentina and Messi demonstrated remarkable resilience during the game, refusing to concede defeat until the final whistle.
