Yobe moves to strengthen human capital development through strategic review

The Yobe Government has commended a strategic review of its human capital development interventions as part of efforts to improve service delivery and enhance the wellbeing and capacity of citizens across the state.

The review is being conducted at a three-day meeting of the state’s Human Capital Development and Democratic Dividend (HCD-DD) Council being held in Kano.

The meeting, chaired by the state Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, is reviewing the implementation of the Yobe State HCD-DD Strategic Plan 2025–2027.

Idi, who was represented by Abdullahi Musa Shehu, the Head of the Civil Service, said the exercise provided an opportunity for stakeholders to assess progress, identify implementation challenges, and develop practical measures to improve human capital development programmes.

He said the state government attached priority to education, healthcare, employment generation and skills development, stressing that investment in people remained fundamental to sustainable development.
