Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has described Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, as a major contributor to grassroots and national development as he marks his 50th birthday.
Yusuf, in a statement issued on Monday by his spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said Kofa’s contributions through legislative activities, public service and constituency interventions had earned him recognition in Kano and beyond.
The governor highlighted Kofa’s legislative experience, noting that he had chaired several key committees in the National Assembly, including Finance, Appropriations, Transport and Foreign Affairs, and currently chairs the Committee on Housing and Habitat.
Yusuf said Kofa had used his position in the National Assembly to advance the interests of his constituents through representation, advocacy and initiatives focused on improving their welfare.
