Zenith Bank customers in Nigeria have been urged to immediately check their accounts and confirm that their deposits remain intact following the bank’s recent data breach.
The President of the Bank Consumers Association of Nigeria, Dr Uju Ogunbunka, made the appeal in an interview with DAILY POST on Wednesday.
DAILY POST reported on Tuesday that Zenith Bank, in a notice, confirmed that hackers had gained unauthorised access to customers’ data.
Reacting to the development, Ogunbunka said the incident was not something bank customers should treat with kid gloves.
According to him, customers should immediately carry out due diligence on their accounts to ensure that their deposits remain intact.
