Daniella Owoeye Jesudunsin, the overall highest scorer in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), has received a ₦1 million scholarship in recognition of her exceptional performance.
Owoeye, a 16-year-old indigene of Erinmope-Ekiti in Ekiti State, announced the award in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
She expressed deep gratitude to the Ekiti Parapo in Indiana, United States, for the generous scholarship, as well as to family members, friends, and well-wishers who celebrated her achievement.
“It was truly a memorable and heartwarming moment to be celebrated and surrounded by the love of family, friends, and well-wishers. My heart is filled with profound gratitude,” she said.
She particularly thanked the Ekiti Parapo in Indiana for their “exceptional care, generosity, and immeasurable love,” along with the Obaleo of Erinmope-Ekiti, Oba Dr. Sunday Aikuirawo Aniyi Amoyimade Atayese I, and the President of Ekiti Parapo, Hon. Awoniyi. Owoeye also appreciated her parents, family, and all guests for their support,
