Again, Jigawa gov orders suspension of three advisers, two councillors

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has again ordered the indefinite suspension of three Special Advisers and two Supervisory Councillors of Auyo Local Government Council with immediate effect.

This is coming on the heels of similar suspensions of political aides at the state level in recent weeks.

PUNCH Online learnt that the move comes as political tension in the state heats up following the recently concluded APC primary election.

It was observed that at the moment, the political atmosphere in Jigawa has been tense since the APC primaries, with several incumbent lawmakers across different state constituencies losing their return tickets during the exercise.

Our correspondent reports that among those affected was the member of the House of Representatives for Hadejia/Auyo/Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency, who failed to secure the party’s ticket for the 2027 general election.
