Oyetola’s ex-commissioner, adviser quit Osun APC

A former Commissioner for Political Affairs and Inter-Governmental Relations in Osun State, Taiwo Akeju, who served in the administration of ex-governor Adegboyega Oyetola, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress.

Akeju’s resignation came alongside those of two other APC chieftains, Jamiu Olawumi and Chief Sunday Ojo-Williams, who also announced their exit from the party on Friday.

Olawumi also served as Special Adviser on Education during Oyetola’s tenure.

The three politicians are believed to be loyalists of former National Secretary of the APC, Iyiola Omisore.

Akeju was believed to have been nominated into the state cabinet by Omisore.

However, he did not state the reason for leaving the APC in his resignation letter obtained by Saturday PUNCH on Friday.

In the letter, a copy of which was obtained by our correspondent in Osogbo, Akeju wrote, “I hereby resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress. Please note that this resignation takes
