President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that the ongoing campaign against terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping has come with immense pain, pressure, and sacrifice for the country.
In a message posted on X, the President said that while the conflict has not been easy, the federal government remains resolute in its commitment to preventing violent extremists from defining the identity or future of Nigeria.
The President commended the armed forces, police, Department of State Services (DSS), civil defence, intelligence agencies, and local security formations for standing as a shield between innocent citizens and criminal elements.
He noted that the survival and daily socio-economic activities of millions of Nigerians—ranging from farming to trading—rely directly on the vigilance of the personnel stationed across difficult terrains, forests, creeks, and forward operating bases.
