Ex-APGA Candidate Reagan Ufomba Joins Labour Party in Abia

Former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Reagan Ufomba, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Labour Party (LP).

Ufomba and his supporters were formally received into the LP on Wednesday at Okpuala Ngwa by Abia State Governor, Alex Otti. 

The governor described the defection as a significant boost to the Labour Party and to the state’s development agenda.

Otti emphasized that the LP is built on equity, inclusiveness, and equal opportunity, assuring Ufomba and his supporters that they would not face discrimination.

“The interesting thing about Labour Party is that there is no discrimination. We don’t have old and new members,” Otti said.

He praised Ufomba’s commitment to Abia’s progress and acknowledged his support for the administration’s reform programs.

In his remarks, Ufomba pledged to contribute to the growth of Abia State under the LP platform and expressed gratitude to Governor Otti and the party leadership for welcoming
