Nigerian physiotherapist wins Africa’s highest professional honour

A Nigerian-born physiotherapist and academic, Efe Useh, has been honoured with the prestigious World Physiotherapy Africa Region Award, one of the highest recognitions in the physiotherapy profession on the continent.

Useh, who is based in South Africa, received the award during the World Physiotherapy Africa Region Congress held in Kigali, Rwanda.

The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) described the award as a fitting recognition of Professor Useh’s outstanding contributions to the growth of physiotherapy in Africa and around the world.

In a statement issued by Oyinlola Felix Odusanya, the president of the NSP, the society congratulated Useh and praised his commitment to professional excellence, leadership and service.

According to Odusanya, Useh has continued to make Nigeria proud through his achievements in academics, research and professional practice.
