Ex-IG Adamu’s exit no threat to APC, says Adamawa chair

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Bello, has said the exit of a former Inspector-General of Police, Abubakar Adamu, from the party to the Social Democratic Congress will not affect the chances of the party in the 2027 general elections.

The PUNCH reports that the former IGP lost the APC governorship primary election to the senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Ahmed Wadada, who emerged as the party’s candidate.

Speaking during a rally at the Angwan Gayam in the Gayam Electoral Ward of Lafia, the state capital, on Tuesday, the APC chairman urged supporters of the ex-IGP who are still in the party to accept the outcome of the primaries in good faith, stressing that power only comes from God.
