More than 100 young Africans have been trained in practical digital skills as part of ongoing efforts to bridge the continent’s digital divide and prepare youths for opportunities in the global digital economy.
The intensive training, which covered the use of Artificial intelligence, UI/UX design, product development, data literacy, and emerging technologies, was facilitated by a technology expert, Emmanuel Brendan, in partnership with Veronica Anthony Foundation, TechnRise DTI and other development partners.
The exercise drew participants from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and other African countries through community learning platforms and tech hubs as part of mentorship and capacity-building initiatives across the continent.
Speaking on Tuesday, the facilitator and Senior UI/UX Designer and Product Engineer, Emmanuel Brendan, said, “Digital literacy is no longer optional. It is the new literacy. If young Africans master digital skills today, they will not only secure jobs but also create solutions that solve local and global problems.
