Channels Television has declared that votes will count in the 2027 general elections, revealing that it has a major plan in place to prevent politicians from manipulating the process.
Popular anchor Seun Okinbaloye announced the development on Friday live on air.
Okinbaloye said that the media house is partnering with civic group YIAGA Africa and European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) officials to launch a new initiative called the Results Viewing and Monitoring system.
Speaking about the project ahead of the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, Seun warned that the new tracking framework will catch corrupt politicians completely off guard.
He stated, “What we have swore to at Channels Television and we and our partners, by all means, in 2027 votes will count. In 2027, whether politicians like it or not, votes will count. We have a big plan they don’t know about, and it will catch them unaware.
