Nigerian teenager Zadok Yohanna has resumed training with Brighton and Hove Albion ahead of preseason, with footage shared on social media showing the youngster going through reaction drills and team sessions at the club’s training ground while the 2026 World Cup continues elsewhere, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The 18-year-old, who completed a record-breaking move to the Premier League club from Swedish side AIK Fotboll, was also seen signing autographs for fans who turned up to watch him train.
Yohanna’s switch to Brighton, sealed for an initial €28m (£24.2m) plus €2m (£1.8m) in add-ons, made him the most expensive player ever transferred out of the Swedish league, surpassing the record previously held by Lucas Bergvall’s 2024 move from Djurgarden to Tottenham Hotspur.
The teenager left Ikon Allah Football Academy in Kaduna for Sweden just over a year ago and quickly established himself at AIK, scoring five goals and providing four assists
