The Anambra State Police Command has killed four suspected secessionist armed gang and recovered of firearms, ammunition, stolen vehicles and cash linked to criminal activities along the Ogboji–Ajalli Road in Orumba South Local Government state.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the Spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the operation was carried out by the police-led Joint Security Patrol Team on Tuesday night.
Ikenga said during the operation, security operatives neutralised four members of the armed gang following an armed confrontation.
He said the operation was carried out during a visibility and confidence-building patrol following credible intelligence gathered over time concerning the movement of heavily armed suspected members of a secessionist armed group operating in the area.
