
Social media activist VeryDarkMan has been drawn into the ongoing trial of six men accused of plotting to overthrow the administration of President Bola Tinubu, after a Federal High Court in Abuja ordered an investigation into the alleged leak of sensitive court evidence.
The development came on Monday during proceedings in the high-profile case, where the prosecution pushed for the court to admit statements made by the defendants to investigators as part of its evidence.
The Federal Government, through prosecuting counsel Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), told the court that the statements were made voluntarily and without any form of intimidation.
The prosecution’s fourth witness, identified only as “DDD”, insisted before the court that none of the defendants were tortured or harassed while being questioned.
He dismissed claims by the accused persons that they were forced into making confessional statements.
Responding to allegations that their legs were chained during interrogation, the witness said, “It is not true.
