The residents of Victoria Island in Lagos, as well as businesses and visitors are set for an enthralling showcase of colour and glamour on the street this September.
From September 14 – 18, 2026, they will witness, for the first time, the maiden edition of Victoria Island Carnival; a landmark cultural and tourism initiative designed to celebrate the island, which is the heartbeat of Lagos’ economic, lifestyle, entertainment, hospitality, and business hub.
The week-long deep-rooted experience event is being organised by Downtown Promotions, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State on the theme: “Eko’s Jewel: A Legacy Rich in Colour”, and will celebrate Victoria Island’s unique place as the heartbeat of Lagos’ economic, lifestyle, hospitality, and entertainment ecosystem, while creating a platform to preserve culture, promote tourism, and stimulate economic growth.
