Osita Ngwu, the senator representing Enugu West and a member of the Senate committee on works, says the administration of President Bola Tinubu has “carried the south-east along” through the execution of several federal projects across the region.
Speaking in Enugu on Monday during the presidential media team’s inspection of the Eke Obinagu flyover as it toured the federal government’s projects in the south-east, Ngwu said he had previously lamented that the region was abandoned.
The Eke Obinagu flyover is a 350‑metre dual-carriageway bridge linking Enugu and Ebonyi states, awarded by the federal government in 2024.
“Being honest, I was among those who once said that the south‑east was abandoned in the past. But that is no longer the case,” the lawmaker said.
