Former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Arch. Audu Sule Katagum, has died at the age of 69. His death occurred in the early hours of Saturday, sparking reactions across political and traditional circles in the state.
Katagum served as Deputy Governor of Bauchi State between 2018 and 2019 under the administration of former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
He was also a respected traditional title holder, known as the Wazirin Katagum.
Audu Sule KatagumHis passing was confirmed in a statement issued by Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, the digital and creative media aide to former Governor M.A. Abubakar.
The statement read, “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Arch. Audu Sule Katagum, Wazirin Katagum and former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State.”
