Vehicular movement was disrupted on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday as emergency responders commenced recovery operations following a lone accident around the Kara Bridge area.
The incident resulted in a temporary halt in traffic movement along the affected section of the expressway, with motorists experiencing delays as officials worked to remove the obstruction and restore normal flow.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, in an update shared via its official X handle on Wednesday, confirmed that the recovery operation was ongoing and had affected traffic movement along the route.
According to the agency, vehicles were temporarily stopped while the recovery team carried out the necessary operations to clear the accident scene.
“The traffic backlog has stretched to New Garage and beyond, causing delays for motorists travelling towards Ogun State,” LASTMA stated.
