United States-based fuji musician, Adéwálé Àkànjí, popularly known as Barryshowkey, has addressed lingering speculation about his paternity in a new single titled, DNA.
The seven-minute song tackles claims circulating on social media that the singer is not a biological son of the late fuji music pioneer, Ayinde Barrister.
In the track, Barryshowkey dismisses the allegations, insisting that his late father never questioned his paternity or disowned him during his lifetime.
“Sikiru Ayinde Barrister never disowned me as a child. Until his passing, I remained one of his favourite children,” he noted in the song.
