The City of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, has honoured actor, producer and production manager, Kehinde Adeyemi, for his contributions to the Nigerian film industry and the promotion of African culture globally.
Adeyemi received a certificate of recognition from the Mayor of Brampton, Patrick Brown, during a special presentation recently.
A statement shared with Sunday Scoop noted that the recognition celebrated Adeyemi’s artistic contributions, dedication to his craft and role in promoting cross-cultural understanding through African storytelling.
The certificate reportedly read, “In recognition of your outstanding contributions to the Nigerian film industry and the global promotion of arts, culture, and creative excellence. It is with great pleasure that the City of Brampton welcomes you.”
The recognition came during Adeyemi’s visit to Canada, where he also attended the Pride Toronto festival and met Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney.
