Bauchi secures $91.6m EBID facility for 24 strategic roads

The Bauchi State Government has secured a US$91.6 million financing package from the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) to fund 24 strategic road and bridge projects across the state.

​Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir announced the development during a meeting with senior government officials at the state government house.

​He stated that the investment will significantly improve and strengthen the state transport network, while easing the movement of people and agricultural produce.

​He further noted that the funding will expand access to markets and stimulate economic growth throughout the region.

​The governor commended the management of the EBID for its confidence in the state vision.

​Governor Bala Mohammed assured citizens that the funds will be managed with transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline to ensure the successful delivery of every project.
