Court case: ‘I defended you when Edo governor harassed you’ – Kenneth Okonkwo to Peter Obi

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo, has reminded the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, how he stood by him when he was harassed in Edo State.

 

An Anambra State High Court, Onitsha, recently authorised Peter Obi to serve court documents to Okonkwo through alternative means after attempts at direct service were unsuccessful.

 

The court directed that the documents be affixed at Okonkwo’s last known residence in Nsukka, Enugu State, or delivered to any adult present at that location.

 

The legal action was initiated following accusations made by Okonkwo, alleging that Obi and certain NDC leaders in the South-East solicited additional payments from candidates vying for the party’s tickets for National Assembly positions.

 

Okonkwo further alleged that Obi personally compiled candidate lists from a hotel room in Abuja.
