Security forces have killed four bandits and rescued two abducted victims in Aboki community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The operation followed reports of a kidnapping incident in the community on Tuesday night. According to security sources, five armed bandits attacked the area but were swiftly confronted by troops and vigilantes.
“Five armed bandits attacked the community to kidnap people but met their waterloo,” a local source said.
“They even took one Alhaji Tukur, but the security agents were able to neutralize four of the bandits, while one of them escaped with gunshot injuries.”Alhaji Tukur and another victim were freed unharmed.
The swift response highlights improved reaction times by security operatives as the government intensifies its anti-kidnapping efforts across the country.
