Enoch Adeboye, pleads for the U.S. intervention as Nigeria’s security crisis spirals

Highlighting a crisis that has breached local containment, Enoch Adeboye, pastor and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urgently appealed to the United States and Western allies for immediate international military and strategic support to help Nigeria combat a rapidly spreading wave of terrorism and violent extremism. Speaking at a high-profile diplomatic and religious gala in the U.S. capital, the influential cleric warned that the insurgency has evolved from a regional conflict into a nationwide threat that now vastly exceeds the capacity of Nigeria’s domestic institutions.

“Terrorism is now at my doorstep,” Adeboye stated during his address. “The scale of the challenge has exceeded the capacity of local institutions acting alone. Let the U.S. and other Western nations deepen their support for Nigeria’s fight against terrorism.”
