The Federal Government has commended the successful rollout of the National Examinations Council (NECO) Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), describing the exercise as a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen examination integrity and accelerate the digital transformation of Nigeria’s education system.
Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad, Minister of State for Education, gave the commendation after monitoring the examination in Abuja, where she expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exercise and the absence of technical disruptions.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, the minister said the successful implementation of the CBT format demonstrated the country’s growing capacity to deploy technology in delivering credible public examinations.
