ICPC says plans underway to monitor Borno education projects

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission has disclosed plans to commence monitoring of education related projects across Borno State as part of efforts to ensure transparency and quality service delivery in primary and secondary schools.

The ICPC Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner overseeing Borno and Yobe states, Linus Gubbi disclosed the plan on Wednesday shortly after a sensitisation meeting with Directors and staff of the State Universal Basic Education Board in Maiduguri, the capital of the state.

He said the sensitisation meeting provided an opportunity to partner with the board in the areas of knowledge sharing on the rules guiding procurements and strengthening collaboration to enhance whistle blowing.
