Businessman and social media influencer Afolabi Michael Kazeem, popularly known as KC Luxury, appeared at the Federal High Court in Lagos in an ambulance on Friday, receiving oxygen as his lawyer sought his release on bail for specialised medical care.
At the resumed hearing, a correctional officer told the court that Kazeem was critically ill and had been hospitalised.
The officer also called the nurse attending to him.
The nurse, Bukki Yahya of the Police Hospital, Falomo, Lagos, informed Justice Musa Kakaki that Kazeem could not be brought into the courtroom because he was receiving oxygen inside the ambulance.
Yahya said the defendant was admitted to the hospital on October 7, 2026, and diagnosed with asthma and sepsis.
