Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has signed three Executive Orders to ban political thuggery, protect host mining communities and combat drug abuse in the State.
Signing the Orders into law at the Executive Chamber of the TY Danjuma House Jalingo, Taraba State Capital, the governor said the move was to strengthen security, protect communities and safeguard the future of the State.
He described the measures as urgent and necessary, the governor further said the Executive Orders were introduced to safeguard the lives, property and future of the people of Taraba State.
Emphasising on drug abuse, the governor said the Executive Order was intended to reinforce the work of drug law enforcement agencies while promoting a coordinated approach involving government, security agencies, parents, teachers, traditional rulers, and community leaders.
