Women entrepreneurs in the Niger Delta may have cause to enter into greater activity and higher heights. This is as the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has restated its commitment to gender inclusive programmes and the entrepreneurial advancement of women in the Niger Delta, as it marks the 2026 International Women’s Day across the nine states of the region.
Speaking at the International Women’s Day programme in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Ahunna Imoni, the NDDC Director of Culture and Women Affairs, highlighted the role of women in shaping families, driving community development, and contributing to national progress.
