Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, the Niger State Commissioner of Police, Friday reaffirmed the command’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at combating cattle rustling and other livestock-related crimes across the state.
Elleman gave the assurance while receiving Abdullahi Adamu Mammagi and Umar Ahmad Rebe, Commissioners for Livestock and Nomadic Affairs, alongside their entourage, during a courtesy visit to the Niger State Police Command Headquarters, Dutsen-Kura, Minna.
Speaking during the visit, Mammagi appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the warm reception and lauded the Command’s continued support for the ministry. He noted that the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock and Nomadic Affairs has recorded significant achievements, particularly in reducing farmers-herders conflicts and managing the influx of nomadic groups through sustained stakeholder engagement.
According to him, the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration with the Police Command towards the effective implementation of new cattle market regulations in the state.
