The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted widespread cloudiness and thunderstorms across the country from Wednesday through Friday.
In its weather outlook released in Abuja on Wednesday, NiMet said northern states including Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, Zamfara, Gombe, Bauchi, Taraba and Adamawa would experience morning thunderstorms with moderate rainfall. Later in the day, similar conditions are expected in Kaduna and the entire North-East.
For the North-Central region, patches of clouds are forecast with chances of light rains in the morning over the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau and Nasarawa. By afternoon and evening, thunderstorms with moderate rains are expected in Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Niger and other parts of the region.
In the South, cloudy skies are anticipated with light rains in the South-South during the morning hours, followed by moderate rainfall later in Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo, the South-East and South-South.
