The Edo State Government is intensifying efforts to strengthen internally generated revenue (IGR) through reforms in land administration, with Governor Monday Okpebholo directing the Edo State Geographic Information Service (EDOGIS) to accelerate digital transformation and adopt innovative strategies that enhance operational efficiency.
Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Yakubu Musa, at a strategic workshop organised by EDOGIS in Benin City on Wednesday, the governor said modernising land administration remains central to his administration’s SHINE Agenda and broader economic development strategy.
The one-day workshop, themed “EDOGIS Revenue Increase: Thinking Outside the Box – A Strategic Framework for Sustainable Revenue Growth, Digital Transformation and Institutional Excellence,” brought together management staff, heads of departments and unit heads to develop practical approaches for improving revenue generation and institutional performance.
