Stanley Nwabali rejoins Chippa United to revive club, Super Eagles career

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has completed a return to South African Premiership side Chippa United ahead of the 2026/27 season, as he looks to revive both his club career and hopes of reclaiming Nigeria’s No. 1 jersey.

The 30-year-old returns to the Chilli Boys after spending around seven months away from competitive football following his departure from the club in February 2026, a decision that saw him fall out of the Super Eagles setup.

Chippa United confirmed Nwabali’s return on Sunday via its official social media platforms.

“Chippa United Football Club is delighted to welcome @nwabali32 back to the Chilli Boys,” the club posted.
