Isaac Fayose has called for an investigation into comments previously made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following the recent kidnapping incident involving schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.
Fayose, speaking in a video that has circulated widely on social media, alleged that certain remarks made by the former Rivers State governor before the incident should not be ignored by security agencies.
The businessman and political commentator argued that the timing of the abduction had raised questions that deserved closer scrutiny.
According to him, the incident occurred around a period of heightened political activity in Oyo State, including discussions surrounding the succession plans of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Fayose recalled a previous statement in which Wike allegedly threatened to “put fire” in Oyo State during his political disagreement with Makinde.
